Dear Colleagues, Dear Members of MEDICHEM,

We heartly welcome you to the 45th international MEDICHEM congress in Vienna, Austria, from September 13 to September 15, 2017. With your active participation MEDICHEM 2017 will revive the traditions of earlier meetings.

The congress starts with an evening reception on Wednesday September 13, 2017 and continues with two full days of presentations, discussions and networking opportunities on Thursday September 14, 2017 and Friday September 15, 2017.

MEDICHEM 2017 is a unique information and communication platform for occupational health professionals and a forum of exchange with colleagues from toxicology, psychology, ecology and other disciplines.

Under the congress theme "Occupational Carcinogens" speakers from academia and industry will review recent human literature of occupational carcinogens and exposure scenarios. Although some hazards may have been removed others may remain and the estimated number of unreported cases of occupational cancers due to preventable carcinogen exposure still continues to be high. In addition, the potential contribution of cancer risk due to exposure of other seldom-considered work-related factors such as shift work will be addressed. A section on free communications will allow Members of MEDICHEM and all other interested parties to present and share their ideas, learnings or successes with the MEDICHEM community.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you in this important and exciting meeting.

With best regards
